THE GHOST SHIP/FALSE SAILS
Two-channel video, 6:47 minutes
2013

THE GHOST SHIP/FALSE SAILS is a two-channel video installation with a loose narrative told between three “characters”: The Head/Ahab, The Body/The Whale, The Sail. Using footage from Moby Dick, and text from Don Delillo’s The Body Artist and Anne Carson’s The Economy of the Unlost, it tells a story of misread signals, loss and the uncertainty of language and visual communication.
