Molloy/Moran
Molloy and Moran are based on the eponymous dual characters in Samuel Beckett’s Molloy.
Like (Moran), the upper part of Molloy also hangs from an industrial spring, but is stilled by the dead weight of its solid glass globe and pendulous extremities. Molloy’s textual monologue draws structure from describing the increasingly haphazard and ineffective methods he uses to remain mobile. He continues forward in spite of his various physical challenges, typically organizing his motion around various inert/cumbersome body parts.
Net result, I stayed where I was. (Molloy)

The upper part of Moran hangs from an industrial spring. A motor attached to the top of the spring extends and retracts on a 15 minute timer, producing a vertical bounce that starts high and steeply slows until the next activation cycle. It never makes contact with its lower end, but relays the ball‐and‐socket relationship between the two parts.
