Within the formal and conceptual references of Project Total Yang, the series focuses on a more figural expression of these ideas through submission wrestling practice. PTY references athletics and its relationship to both the history of sculpture and queer erotics, particularly in ancient Greek athletics. In Submission Holds the young males bodies are supplanted by those of relentless women competitors, captured in submission wrestling porn stills.
